Once you come up with a catchy blog title, you should lock down the domain name! Websites such as www.godaddy.com and www.instantdomainsearch.com make it easy for you to search if your desired name has already been claimed. If so, consider using a different domain extension, such as, .co, .org, .blog, .info, etc.

2. Choose a Beautiful & Unique Theme

The overall look of your blog is so important because it is a showcase of your brand. 5. Use Professional Photos

Having appealing photos plays a huge role in a blog that is professional and pleasing to the eye. Photos are one of the main components that draws the readers attention to your website and posts. 6. Add a Favicon

If you are not familiar with favicons, they are the tiny thumbnails displayed in the browser tab, next to a website. You can customize this in your Showit or WordPress theme settings. It is best to use your logo or an icon that stands out and is recognizable to your brand. The recommended size is 16x16px and PNG format.
